Real Madrid’s impressive season continues to take shape, with the team securing a place in the Champions League semi-finals and holding a commanding lead in the La Liga title race. However, amidst the celebrations, one era is set to come to an end, as defender Nacho has announced his departure from the club after 12 seasons, according to AS.

A product of Real Madrid’s youth academy, Nacho has been a mainstay in the first team since 2012. His versatility and dedication have made him a valuable asset to the squad, capable of playing in various defensive positions. This season, with injuries disrupting the backline, Nacho stepped up admirably, making 34 appearances across all competitions.

Nacho’s final season at Real Madrid has been a rollercoaster of emotions. On one hand, he has experienced the highs of Champions League success and the potential for a La Liga title. On the other hand, he has faced the disappointment of losing his captaincy to Karim Benzema and the uncertainty surrounding his future.

Seeking New Challenges

Despite the emotional attachment to his boyhood club, Nacho has decided to seek new challenges elsewhere. His contract expires at the end of the season, and he has informed club president Florentino Perez of his decision not to renew.

Nacho’s departure marks the end of an era at Real Madrid. He has been a loyal servant to the club, always putting the team first and giving his all in every match. His versatility and ability to adapt to different roles have made him a valuable asset to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

While Nacho’s future destination remains unknown, he is determined to finish his Real Madrid career on a high note. With the possibility of a La Liga and Champions League double still on the horizon, Nacho aims to add another chapter to his illustrious Real Madrid story.

Nacho’s departure will undoubtedly leave a void in the Real Madrid squad. He has been a popular figure among both fans and teammates, and his leadership and experience will be missed. However, the club can only thank him for his dedication and service over the past 12 seasons and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
