Manchester City supporters were all in agreement about Jack Grealish’s recent performance against Real Madrid.

The Citizens drew 3-3 against the Spanish side in last week’s first-leg tie in the quarter-finals of this season’s Champions League.

Jack Grealish put in a shift against Real Madrid

The winger was included in the starting XI this evening for City as he was in last week’s clash in Madrid, where he completed the full 90 minutes.

This time around, however, the Englishman was taken off in the 72nd minute for Jeremy Doku.

During his time on the pitch, Grealish had 47 touches of the ball in total and was able to accurately complete 32 of the 37 passes he attempted, two of which were key passes.

He also had two shots on target but was unable to find the back of the net for his side.

His overall performance ultimately earned the winger a match rating of 7.5/10 from SofaScore.

With all of that in mind and the clear bafflement from these particular City fans about Guardiola’s decision to take Grealish off after he had put in such a good performance shows how impressive he was in the game.

Bearing in mind how the likes of Graeme Souness has been previously and publicly critical of what the England international offers his side, these social media posts prove that Grealish has what it takes to deliver a strong performance for his side in one of their biggest games of the campaign.
