Karim Adeyemi, one of the quickest players in Bundesliga history, is allegedly “in talks” to join Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund.

The Bundesliga website stated in November that Adeyemi’s peak speed of 22.77 mph was the third-fastest ever recorded in the German top division since records started in 2011.

German journalist Christian Falk has stated on X that Chelsea has begun talks about a summer transfer for the young, gifted player.

Although a winter exit is now seen as “unlikely,” Italian team Napoli is trying to sign Adeyemi during the current January transfer window before Chelsea can do so at the end of the season.

Only a select few teams can afford Adeyemi since Dortmund demands a hefty sum to allow him to leave the Westfalenstadion.

Liverpool has also expressed interest in signing Adeyemi, who can play as a striker or winger, reports Metro.

So far this season, the Germany international has contributed two goals and three assists in eight Bundesliga games for Dortmund.

In the Champions League, he has excelled by scoring three goals and dishing up an assist in only two games.

According to reports, Adeyemi rejected the Blues last summer and was “not hesitant” to join Stamford Bridge.

He has been a Dortmund player since 2022, joining the German club from Red Bull Salzburg.
